The Project

This Project was a collaborative effort among all the students of my storyboarding class at Kendall College of Art and Design. The final production spanned across two projects and took several months to complete. The goal of the project was to take an unreleased audio track from the popular 90's cartoon Animaniacs and storyboard to the track. The audio is a song called "Dear Mr. Gingritch". In this audio track, the youngest animaniac, Dot, expresses her love for Newt Gingrich and his republican ideals.

The Production

This project was divided into two parts, and each part was divided up among 20 students. In the first part of the project, each student was tasked with creating 30 seconds of storyboards based on a section on the animation. Each portion went through several critiques to make sure that everything matched style and lined up with one another as a whole. In the second portion of the project, each student made an animatic based on their boards and lined them up together to make a finished animatic for the entire sequence.
